2016 - Are you one quarter in, or there is only one quarter to go... What's your plan?

It's April 2016, do you view this as one quarter into the calendar year , hence you have 9 months left to make a difference. Or, do you view is as one quarter to go till the end of the FY and we start the new financial year with a blast .

Either way, are you considering, how your business is travelling?

Are you on track to what you planned at the beginning of the quarter?

Are you sales where they should be, as you forecasted?

Have you overrun your marketing budget?

Or … Have you just started your journey and are feeling stressed?

So many things to think about when running a business. Whether that be your own business, an SME or being part of a multinational.

I like to review my business by considering the 6 PILLARS OF SUCCESS

  1. STRATEGY

  2. MARKETING

  3. SALES

  4. PEOPLE AND LEADERSHIP

  5. FINANCE

  6. OPERATIONS

Where Strategy is the driver for all follow-on engagement

What does your business strategy look like?

What are the key buzz words, which of course have depth to them, that you map your strategy around?

Mine are:

  • Vision

  • Know where you want to be in 3 years

  • Goals

  • Set SMART Goals , short and long term

  • Planning

  • Create plans, business, marketing, sales and financial plans

  • Action

  • What steps have to be taken to reach your desired goal

  • Influence

  • Who is influencing you, what mentors do you have, what networking are you involved in, what reading are you undertaking?

  • Execution

  • GET OFF YOUR CHAIR and go make magic happen

Do you need help with any of this, maybe, then I can help
